What is a ZAP1 anchor?

ZAP1 is an attestation protocol. Builders emit events (payment receipts, contract deployments, ownership assertions, hosting-payment confirmations, and others) that get hashed and accumulated into a Merkle tree.

Periodically, the current Merkle root is written to Zcash mainnet via a shielded transaction. The anchor is that on-chain commitment. Anyone who holds an event hash and the Merkle path can later prove the event was known as of the anchor block, without learning anything about the event content.

Each row below is one such anchor. leaf_count is the number of events bundled into that Merkle root. txid is the Zcash mainnet transaction carrying the commitment. Use the explorer link to verify the anchor independently.
